My parents thought camping was the perfect family holiday. I had other ideas.
While they enjoyed the great outdoors, I dreamed of hotels. Warm lights glowing through the windows, beautiful lobbies, soft, dry beds. Preferably without a midnight expedition to a communal toilet in the rain.
Even as a little girl, I imagined myself inside those hotels. Not just enjoying the comfort, but that wonderful feeling of being looked after. Of someone having thought about what you might need before you even ask.
I'm still fascinated by that.
Because to me, great hospitality isn't about luxury. It's about attention. The little things that make someone feel expected, welcome and wonderfully at ease.
And I believe that feeling should begin long before a guest walks through the door.
That's why I created Nice Lamp. To help hotels carry their warmth, personality and thoughtfulness into their websites, emails and every little digital encounter.
Because hospitality shouldn't begin at reception. Or end at checkout.
